Our board includes producers, directors, and creative artists — experts in media and new technology. When one of our members shared his personal experience with bipolar disorder, our team went to work.
We created a feature film about the life and struggles of our board member Mauro Ranallo — who has spent over 30 years managing bipolar disorder — following some of the highest, and lowest, points of his career as a broadcaster. The result: a powerful, true portrait of mental health, and how to care for those who are struggling.
During research, we partnered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and Fountain House of New York. That led to a partnership with Showtime Networks — who finished and released the film. The response became a national media story. The film reached millions of people around the world.
